What we make
Hearthspell makes small-batch candles and seasonal ritual goods rooted in British folklore and the Wheel of the Year. Every product is tied to a moment in the turning year - the first cold morning of autumn, the stillness of midwinter, the slow return of light.
We use rapeseed and coconut wax and pure essential oils only. No synthetic fragrance, no shortcuts. Every candle is cured for fourteen days before it leaves us.
Why essential oils
Pure essential oils behave differently to synthetic fragrance. They are quieter, more complex, more true. They change as the candle burns, as the room warms, as the season shifts. They are also what the land actually smells of - cedarwood, vetiver, frankincense, dark earth and resin.
The Wheel of the Year
Hearthspell follows the eight seasonal festivals of the British Isles. Each collection is made for a specific moment in that cycle.

The same pure essential oil blends as the candles, made for your burner. Made in small batches. A quieter way to bring the season in.
Pillar and Taper Candles
Pure beeswax, nothing added. No fragrance, no essential oils - just the oldest candle material there is, sourced from a local British apiary. Botanical detail, naturally burnished. Made for altars, tables, and seasonal ritual.
